Main Comp Accomodation
Base camp will be booked 14 - 21 September 2024 at Dundubara
The main 'address' for the 2024 Comp on Fraser Island during the competition week is going to be the Dundubara Camp Grounds almost 2/3rds up the Eastern Side of the Island.

This campground is a Queensland Parks managed camp site.
The whole camp ground is fenced with what is supposed to be dingo-safe fencing.
​
There are 2 bathroom areas which both contain hot and cold showers and flushing toilets. Showers require $2.00 coins to operate and gives you approximately 3 minutes of shower time.
​
There is also very limited Telstra signal right at the enterance to the campground, next to the Rangers Station.
​
Fire rings are provided and fires are permitted when the season is not too dry. Strict rules apply around campfires though including what kind of wood is to be used.

Personal Profile
We will endeavour to book a couple of sites for our main group accommodation at Dundubara camp site, which will be Base Camp.
​
This camp site should accommodate over 300 people.
​
Reservation in this group booking is to be made and confirmed with Zasco.
​
It is not required that all participants stay at Base Camp.
​
Participants can arrange their own bookings at any other camp site or unit or house on the island.
​
Please note though, communication on the island is difficult at the best of times. The main form of communication will be via a display board at Base Camp.

The main prize giving event on the second Saturday night will be at Base Camp.
​

We will share the Dundubara site with some other campers as well as there are more than 30 camp sites in the Dundubara camp area.
It works on a first come first serve basis, therefore if other people with reservations get there before us / you, we'll have to take the left overs. We won't be able to 'claim' sites for everyone going so it will ultimately be your own responsibility to get there in good time to get a nice camp site.
The main booking is made from Friday 13 September 2024.

When you get off the barge on the island, turn right and keep driving up the island on the Eastern beach side...
